Change Logs for Automation Objects

Change Logs for Automation Objects

It is possible to log any changes done to the Automation Object and its underlying settings. This is handled by standard SAP logging mechanism for DB tables and may require additional configuration of “rec/client” system parameter in RZ10 transaction, as described in this SAP help documentation.

The change logs for a specific Automation Object can be viewed in transaction /INT4/IFTT_AO_LOGS. The selection screen of the transaction has following criteria:

  • Automation Object - allows filtering of the change logs per given Automation Object(s)

  • Selection Period - allows filtering of the change logs per given set of dates; or specified dates, when Selection Period is equal “Custom Range”.

The results of the execution are presented in a form of a tree, with branches same as in the Automation Object change screen. Next to each branch there is a number, which tells how many changes have been found. When a branch is selected, the changes are presented on the right-hand side of the screen.
