Test Cases Report

Int4 Test Cases Report allows the user to browse all test cases available, with additional filtering and ability to copy and delete test cases.

Starting Test Cases Report

Start by logging into Your SAP Fiori cockpit. Depending on Your user authorization, You will see a screen with sets of Fiori tiles. Find the one related to Test Cases report and click it.

Test Cases report usage

The report allows You to browse all test cases available in Your system. Once open, it shows a list of the test cases in no particular order and provides a filter feature to narrow down Your selection.

Test Cases report fields

  • Test Case - test case name and ID

  • Scenario - name and ID of the folder where the test case is stored

  • Interface Type - test type

  • Document Number - number of reference document used to create the test case or, where applicable, test execution control parameter (e.g. script name for eCATT test)

  • Automation Object - the Automation Object assigned to this test case

  • Parent Test Case - number and name of the test case defined as parent

  • Environment - default environment to run the test case on

  • Origin - the environment from which the test case data was captured

Each Test Case line can be clicked, taking the user to Test Case details.

Test Cases filtering

All filter fields correspond to specific data columns in the Test Case list. Fill in the selection criteria as necessary and click “Go” to get their results. Searching by Test Case description and Automation Object name allows for partial matches.

Searching Test Cases by payload content or test results

Additional filtering options are available in Filters area. Click ‘Filter’ button on the toolbar.

  • Content search - test cases are search based on text or expression from payloads

  • Results search - test cases are search based on test run data

Content & Result search might take long time depending on number of payloads & test runs in the system. It is recommended to narrow the search by other filter criteria like e.g. selected folders or test run date range

Copying of test cases

The Test Case report allows for convenient copying of test cases to new folders. Select test cases for copying and click the “Copy” button on the toolbar. A pop-up window will appear, asking to provide a target folder ID. Type in the folder ID or use the search help button to open list of folders.

Moving test cases to different folder

The Test Case report allows for convenient moving of test cases to new folders. Select test cases for moving and click the “Move” button on the toolbar. A pop-up window will appear, asking to provide a target folder ID. Type in the folder ID or use the search help button to open list of folders.

Deletion of test cases

The Test Case report allows also test case deletion. Seletect test cases for deletion and click the “Delete” button on the toolbar. A pop-up window will appear asking to confirm the action.

Exporting Test Case data to a file

Test Case data can be exported to an OpenXML SpreadSheet file for further reporting or analysis. To export the data, click on the “Export to spreadsheet” icon above the Test Cases list.

Depending on the number of elements, the export might take some time. Progress window will be displayed and updated accordingly as the report is prepared.

Once the file is ready, the browser will download it and make it available. The file can be opened with any tool supporting the OpenXML Document format.
