Boomi

This section covers test case creation for Boomi interfaces.

Boomi standard APIs are utilized to fetch the payloads from the AtomSphere in order to create and run the test cases. The following snapshot presents what happens in general during test case creation on the top. As well as the execution in case where the Dispatcher is utilized.

For instance, it is possible to store the payload from the PROD environment and re-send that productive payload to QA environment for process logic or even SAP backend validation.

There are the following test types that can be created for Boomi platform:

Boomi Inbound is an end-to-end test case that will either validate both the Boomi process and document creation in SAP Backend (with additional parameter Validate message output set) or will try to send input messages to the Boomi process (for performance testing purposes).
A test case is created based on Boomi Execution ID.

Boomi Outbound - in this type, Test Case data contains only the output message after processing. Test case execution doesn’t trigger the input message to the Boomi. However, the outbound messages is searched based on configured variables and once it is identified the outbound message is compared with the reference.
