How to use Message Selection by Content in Message Selector Tool?
Message Selector Tool allows you to find messages based on the content of the payload. To use it, you need to configure variables in the Int4 IFTT automation object.
Single Variable in the Message Selection by Content
In case you use only one variable, message selection works like a standard select-options. All values defined in the selection screen will be used to match relevant messages. All you need to do is provide all values that match the expression specified in the automation object.
In our example we want to find all messages with Purchase Order Numbers: PO_1033_10, PO_1033_11, PO_1033_12.
When the values are found in the expressions defined in the Variable Processing in the Int4 IFTT Automation Object, Int4 IFTT Message Selector will show all messages.
Multiple Variables in the Message Selection by Content
In case you use multiple variables to match a specific message, all values are compared in groups.
In our example, we have three variables (Customer Name, Purchase Order and State).
Â
In this case, a message will only be found if all values match the values in the message content, based on the variable expressions for each variable.
In our example, we defined four values for each variable.
Â
It means that message must contain all values to be found:
Customer: Customer 10, Purchase Order: PO_1033_10, State: CA OR
Customer: Customer 12, Purchase Order: PO_1033_12, State: CA OR
Customer: Customer 11, Purchase Order: PO_1033_11 State: CC OR
Customer: Customer 10, Purchase Order: PO_1033_11 State: CA
In our example, only two messages are found for this combination:
