How to create Automation Object for SAP PO Inbound interface when additional steps (AM and VO) are set in the interface

When your global or scenario specific configuration in SAP PO is not matching the recommended settings mentioned in the https://int4support.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IUM/pages/425394181 and you have enabled additional staging settings - follow the instruction below to be able to create and execute test cases.

SAP PO Interface setup

When you are staging the AM version in your global or interface specific settings the interface in the SAP PO monitoring that you can see it’s not the sender interface, but the receiver interface. Due to this some additional settings are needed.

Automation Object Creation for such scenario

The rule in the automation object does not change - you have to provide the sender interface as the interface name and namespace.

The only thing that has to be added additionally is the parameter: PI: Message Search - Interface Name and PI: Message Search - Interface Name that is the receiver interface name and namespace.

Test Cases Creation

When these 2 additional parameter are set - in the message selector you will see additional interface - the receiver interface - and these are the messages you should use for test cases creation.

Keep in mind that you should create the test cases that are matching the real sender.
For example if the sender system is DEMO_SYSTEM_B_T and the receiver system is ED1CLNT800 - make sure that in the message selector you choose test cases with such details.
