SAP eCATT Recording - recording and automation of user steps

USE:

In various interface scenarios, we would like to perform end-to-end testing in SAP (both the integration platform and the back-end layer) or test the whole business process. Then we need to automate and playback the user actions between interface test cases.

User steps can be recorded and replicated using the standard SAP eCATT tool. You can execute both your eCATT Test Scripts directly, or your Test Script needs to be embedded into eCATT Test Configuration.

There are two different test types for that:

eCATT Test Config.
eCATT Test Script

Int4 IFTT will execute the SAP eCATT script or testConfiguration on an environment assigned to your current Test Case or Test Case node in IFTT Cockpit.

PREREQUISITES:

eCATT enabled on the system as per SAP wiki
Creation of SAP eCATT Recording
Creation of eCATT Test Configuration (optional)
You have completed the steps described in the General rules for a test case creation.

PROCEDURE:

Select "eCATT Test Script" or “eCATT test Config.” for the Interface Type field.
In Document Number field type the name of the eCATT Test Script/Configuration that you have created.
Choose the appropriate Object Definition ID .
Save the test case.

NOTE:

eCATT test case is not a standalone object. You should use this test case should in a sequence with other test cases. For further reference, please check the sequence test cases section.
