Setting up Int4 IFTT with SAP PIT

Int4 IFTT allows using the PIT way of testing asynchronous messages. This functionality is available from SAP PO > 7.5 SP14.
For this function, interface type 20 (PI Unit Test) was updated. The main advantage of this approach is PIT has parameters, thanks to which we can prevent sending out the messages to receivers.

PREREQUISITES:

  • SAP PIT must be enabled in PI/PO

    • PIT_SYSTEM HTTP destination has to be established in NWA->Configuration->Infrastructure->

    • Alternatively, run the PI Test Tool Target wizard on the appropriate SAP PO system

  • IFTT users must be granted PIT roles (two roles) on SAP PO to use this API.

You can find more details here:

To use SAP PIT as a message injector, run IFTT IMG (tcode /int4/iftt_img) and select Configure Global Parameters option:

Now, enter a new entry: PIPITINJ - use SAP PIT WS as a message injector (SAP PO > 7.5 SP14) for your environment. Add a Parameter value 'X' if you want to enable this option:

You can also set this setting on an automation object level - in the Additional Parameters section.

To prevent messages from being sending out to the receiver, add a global parameter PIPITSTOP - Stop

receiver processing in PI/PO unit test and enter Parameter Value:

You can also set this setting on an automation object level - in the Additional Parameters section.

To do this, open Automation Object Configuration and navigate to Additional Parameters. Add a new parameter PITSTOP - Stop Receiver Processing and enter Parameter Value.
