Import/Export of Int4 IFTT Configuration

A new feature that came with the release SP10_007 is importing and exporting two configuration elements in the Int4 IFTT. The importing of configuration allows the users to save time while moving from one system to another, for instance, from Development to Quality. It is beneficial in system migration because it takes almost no time and eliminates any human errors that could happen during a manual configuration

The first configuration elements that can be exported/imported are the IFTT Objects, with all the sub-elements assigned. As a result, after the import to another system, the Objects will be entirely transferred. If a transferred object exists in the new system, the Object and any sub-elements are not transferred.

The second configuration elements that can be exported /imported are the Defined System Landscapes with the System Lines assigned to them. The import works the same as the Object import and transfers only the non-existing elements. For example, suppose you are importing a landscape that doesn't exist but a system line assigned to this landscape already exists. In that case, the system line will not be imported again.

Let's have a look at a step-by-step guide of how to export/import those elements and some essential details about this feature.

Export of IFTT Objects

  1. First of all, you need to enter the /INT4/IFTT_CONF_MASS transaction. There are two buttons Export and Import, at the screen bar that allow you to export/import the objects.
  2. For exporting IFTT objects, you need to select all the desired objects. You can choose multiple Objects by selecting all the expected lines, and there is no limit for chosen objects. If you plan to transfer all the objects, you can click on the "Select All" button (or press F7).
  3. After, click the Export button. The selected Objects will be exported with the last step to save the export .zip folder for further usage. By default, the zip file is named export_CurrentDate.zip. Of course, you can rename the folder according to your will and save it correspondingly.

Import of IFTT Objects

Subsequently, you can import the exported .zip file with IFTT Objects to any system that has installed Int4 IFTT.
