Changing RFC connection to SAP PO system

This procedure is applied when there is a need to change the user or password to the SAP PO system in the selected landscape. Int4 IFTT connects with SAP PO system by HTTP connection and SOAP Ports calling SAP PO API services. In the SAP ABAP Netweaver server, the RFC connection and ports are maintained separately. To speed up the process, there is the built-in wizard that creates corresponding settings.

Step-by-step guide

In the example screenshots, we maintain a new user and password for landscape DE1.

  1. The user who will run the procedure must have basic authorization to maintain RFC connections and SOA MANAGER ports
  2. Go to tcode /int4/iftt_img. Select 'Run configuration wizard.'
  3. Select landscape and Maintain PI/PO RFC connection. Display RFC connection, and you will be redirected to the SM59 transaction. Update the RFC connection. Alternatively, you can create a new connection.
  4. After changing the RFC connection, we need to create new ports to SOAP services. This setting can be carried out in the following way:
    1. Delete existing ports from IFTT configuration: click 'Display IFTT global parameters.'
      1. go to edit mode
      2. Choose all parameters for your landscape that contain in the name word "PRX*
      3. Delete entries and save Configuration
      4. Go back and press the refresh button in the IFTT wizard. the ports for chosen landscape will become again customizable:
      5. Select each of them and press the 'Customize' button. On the popup, choose 'Create new logical port' and provide a new name (as the old ports still exist in SOA MANAGER)
      6. Repeat step V for all the ports. The final effect should look like below:

The alternative procedure is to change user and password in SOA manager for existing ports (tcode SOAMANAGER → Webservice configuration → search for object name contains /int4*)
