  1. Launch Test Cockpit.

  2. Switch to Change Mode.

  3. Click Add version next to the existing test case that you want to modify:

  4. Document number and Version description fields become editable. The version number increases automatically.

  5. Insert the new document number removing the old document number, and add a description. 

  6. Save the test case.

  7. Click the History button to check the archived versions of all of the test cases in the active scenario.

Recreating a test case based on document number from the archive: 

  1. Launch Test Cockpit.

  2. Click the All Versions button to check the archived versions of all of the test cases in the active scenario:

  3. The tick indicates which version is currently in use:

  4. Select the document number of the test case you want to recreate and copy it to the clipboard.

  5. Follow the steps from the test case creation section.

Restoring specific test case version:

  1. Launch Test Cockpit

  2. Click the All Versions button to check the archived versions of all of the test cases in the active scenario:

  3. Click Restore button next to the selected version
    New version will be created with payloads and variables copied from the selected version.

It is also possible to create new versions based on successful test results. This procedure might be used in case test case has to be refreshed after implementing a change in interface logic.
