A new feature that came with the release SP10_007 is the export and import of two configuration elements in the int4 IFTT. The importing of configuration allows the users to save time while moving from one system to another, for instance from Development to Quality. It is really helpful in the time of system migration because it takes almost no time and eliminates any human errors that could happen during a manual configuration.

The second configuration elements that can be exported /imported are the Defined System Landscapes with the System Lines assigned to them. The import works exactly the same like the Object import and transfers only the non-existing elements. For example, if you are importing a landscape that doesn't exist but a system line that is assigned to this landscape already exists, the system line will not be imported again.

Lets take a look at a step by step guide of how to export/import those elements and some important details about this feature.

Considering the imported Objects you will be informed appropriately about the objects that have been imported or the existing ones.

Export of Landscapes

  1. To start the export of Landscapes with all the relevant System Lines you have to enter the transaction /INT4/IFTT_IMG
  2. At the main screen expand the Landscape configuration.
  3. Next, run the Define Landscapes Activity. At this screen you will find the export and import buttons.
  4. To export IFTT System Landscapes you need to select all the desired Landscapes. You can select multiple Landscapes simply by selecting all the desired lines, there is no limit for selected Landscapes. If you are planning to transfer all the objects you can click on the "Select All" button (or press F7).
  5. Lastly, just click the Export button, on the popup you can define a name for the exporting .zip folder and save it, the selected Landscapes will be exported. By default the zip file is named export_CurrentDate.zip, of course you can rename the folder according to your will and save it correspondingly.
